Heeby Jeebies!

I was watching The Exorcist the other day and was scared beyond belief when my younger cousin turned up at the door covered in face paints looking a fright. The fear did not end there. The next day as I was driving to work in the dark Wintery morning, the fan belt on my car broke so I was stranded for nearly an hour by myself awaiting the services of the RACV to fix my car. It's amazing how ones mind can play tricks on you when you've got the heeby jeebies! I swear I could see eyes glowing in the bushes nearby, a very freaky experience! As soon as these frightening images were before me, I hastily jumped in the car and altered the music equalizers to increase the bass of my music and scare away these imaginary creatures. There were some strange glances from onlookers staring at this unusual family man I must say!

I have been keeping my mobile phone with me ever since this incident even when I shower. The exhaust fan in our bathroom hasn't been working lately which had not bothered me until now as the faceplate on my mobile phone actually cracked due to the sudden change in temperature and humidity. That's the last time I watch a scary movie, it has caused nothing but trouble, stress, high blood pressure, and expense!

Help Me Choose a Credit Card!

It's been a busy week searching for a new credit card online. I have been hoping to find one with low rates plus great rewards but it has proved to be trickier than I thought. I did however stumble upon some wonderful credit card and bank cards websites to help me with the process. There are pages to compare each credit card feature and each week there is a top list of credit cards with the best deals on offer. I have listed some of the sites to share their convenience:

If I do find I can not find any decent rewards programs, then the next item of importance on my list would probably be deals on balance transfers. Preferably a 0% interest rate for 9 months but I will be happy with any. If all else fails, then the credit card services have to be of the highest quality with customer service available 24 hours a day and I want to be able to speak to an actual person rather than a machine as these are never any help. Wish me luck!

Customers Are Unaware of What Savings Accounts Offer

Customers Are Unaware of What Savings Accounts Offer

Savingsaccounts.com.au is expanding its reach due to research that suggests the public is unaware of what saving accounts can offer them. Considering how many people use savings accounts as their sole financial tool, awareness of interest rates is necessary for good financial health.

Australia (PRWEB) June 13, 2008 -- Recently, research conducted by the Post Office, a UK research company, found that almost a third of people in Britain were unaware of the interest rate on their savings account.

Savingsaccounts.com.au, an independent reviewer of Australian bank accounts, is responding to this by expanding the reach of their site to help consumers to better understand what savings accounts in Australia can offer.

It is quite usual for someone to merely choose savings accounts based on what friends or family have used in the past, rather than through research into the best savings account interest rates or the security of online savings accounts
Chris Shadforth, head writer for the site, says, "It's important that people know more about what they can gain awareness of their savings account. Interest can seem insignificant in the short term, but over time it makes a massive difference."

The site offers frequent articles on improving financial ability and information on getting the most from savings accounts. It's a valuable tool for the average person looking to take their savings to the next level, while also helping consumers make better choices in savings accounts. "We're currently expanding our writing team in order to get more information out there on savings accounts. It's a very exciting time, and we hope to reach a much wider audience very soon," says Mr. Shadforth.

With sites like this, Australians do not need to spend time keeping track of the best deals on savings accounts as they can be conveniently kept up to date. Australian consumers who want to get the most from their savings should remember to search online for the best deals on savings accounts.

Savings accounts are the most important financial products that the average person uses, yet so many consumers are unaware of what they can and should offer. "It is quite usual for someone to merely choose savings accounts based on what friends or family have used in the past, rather than through research into the best savings account interest rates or the security of online savings accounts," says Shadforth. "Even those who are skilled at budgeting in order to maximise their savings may not be aware that they can experience further growth on their wealth without risk by simply choosing a better savings account."

Ring-a-Ding-Ding

I've had the same ringtone for several years now and it's beginning to drive me crazy! My mobile phone is capable of using mp3s as ringtones but I do like to stick to the more traditional tunes. I'll have to track down a website with free ringtones for mobiles so I can stock up on some new sounds for incoming calls and message tones. I hope i'll be able to recognise my new call tones when my phone rings!

Sites I love!

There's a great website I found which allows people to create an account and fill it with sites they recommend. These few members have similar interests to me so I have loved all their saved sites so far. Xavier has financial sites as well as some wedding and loans sites full of handy information. Susan also has several financial sites saved which i've found to be quite useful. And lastly, Gregor's site is filled with gadget sites and some tempting icecream sites.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

Jobs in Real Estate

The high ranking Australian jobs and career website, Jobs.com.au, has partnered with JOBX in a move to improve the customer experience with greater search functionality and a wider variety of advertised positions. The Jobs.com.au business was acquired in June 2007 by a Brisbane-based web publishing firm. Since the original relaunch of Jobs.com.au in 2007, the website has continued its rise in popularity to its current standing as one of the highest ranking job sites in Australia.

Brisbane, QLD (PRWEB) April 19, 2008 -- The high ranking Australian jobs and career website, Jobs.com.au, has partnered with JOBX in a move to improve the customer experience with greater search functionality and a wider variety of advertised positions. The Jobs.com.au business was acquired in June 2007 by a Brisbane-based web publishing firm. Since the original relaunch of Jobs.com.au in 2007, the website has continued its rise in popularity to its current standing as one of the highest ranking job sites in Australia.

Jobs.com.au CEO, Peter Andronicos, understood the need for a more comprehensive user experience if the website was to grow, the dynamic career website JOBX was approached to further develop the functionality of Jobs.com.au. This partnership has benefited JOBX by providing them with much more high quality traffic than they would normally have expected and has shown exceptional results in a very limited amount of time. A marked increase in the exploration of the pages on Jobs.com.au has also been felt, demonstrating that users have embraced the changes with gusto.

With the unemployment rate at astonishing lows of 4.0% in March 2008, job search sites offer more potential than ever before in helping people into the careers they want. Low unemployment and a high level of new jobs being advertised every day means that users more than ever before will need easily accessible and understandable help to sort through the massive range of career choices. Signs that job advertisements have fallen in both February and March indicates some slowing of the economy, but this makes it more vital than ever to get into the right job before competition rises again.

Using the JOBX platform allows Jobs.com.au to provide a range of tools and resources for job seekers. From job-related videos, including tips on how to do well in interviews to inspiration and advice from experts in their field. There's also a range of web 2.0 features such as the job wiki, polls, webinars, job news, competitions and podcasts. Jobs.com.au also provides a cheaper alternative for employers to advertise a job online with listings starting from just $29.95.

Jobs.com.au provided a portal to many top career websites and job search tools from its original launch in 2007, but the redesign of the site has dramatically improved the range of user experience. A powerful search tool has been added to the site, making it much more convenient to find the best jobs, as well as a massive expansion of the job categories index to help users of all kinds to narrow down their search criteria even further. Additionally, extra resources and training possibilities have been added to the Jobs.com.au site by JOBX, giving users help beyond just searching through advertised positions.
